Booking Terms and Conditions
Payments and Refunds:
Payment must either be made in full at the time of booking or at least 48hrs prior to the booking if paying via invoice.
If payment has not been made 48hrs prior to the booking, then the lesson will be cancelled.
Bookings for all lessons close 24hrs prior to the lesson starting.
Lessons can be cancelled and rescheduled up to 48hrs prior to the booking free of charge. In this event the lesson value will be credited to your online account.
Any bookings cancelled within 48hrs of the lesson will not be refunded, no exceptions.
Lessons may be swapped to an alternate registered rider at least 24hrs in advance if a suitable horse is available. Riders cannot be substituted at the time of the lesson.
Lesson Changes & Timetable Alterations:
Checkendon equestrian centre reserve the right to make changes to lessons and/or instructors if necessary, including cancellations at short notice.
If customers are over 20 minutes late for 45 minute lessons or 15 minutes late for 30 minute lessons, their lesson may not be able take place. This is at the discretion of the instructor.
Weight Limit & Rider Details:
At Checkendon Equestrian Centre, the wellbeing of our horses is very important to us. To ensure their comfort and safety, each horse has an individual weight limit.
When you register, we use the height, weight and riding ability information you provide to carefully match you with a suitable horse. This helps us create the best possible experience for both you and our horses
If there is any uncertainty regarding a rider’s suitability for their allocated horse, an instructor may discreetly confirm weight details.
In the event that a rider’s actual weight exceeds the limit of their assigned horse and we are unable to provide a suitable alternative, the lesson will unfortunately not be able to go ahead. As horse allocations are made in advance based on the information provided, in such a situation, the lesson would not be refundable.
We very much appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us prioritise the welfare of our horses.
Reserved Time Slots:
Regular clients can request a ‘reserved’ time slot. Lesson must be booked online at least 6 days prior to the lesson slot, or the slot will become available to other clients and another slot cannot be guaranteed.
Regulars with a reserved slot must be attending at least 65% of these lessons in order to keep their slot.
Any reserved slots that are not being used frequently enough or have not been used at all for at least 3 months without notification to the office, will be forfeited and reassigned to someone else.
Clients with a reserved slot that they cannot use for a period of time due to injury etc, may be able to keep their slot. This is at the discretion of the manager.
